On the day of our tour there was a biking race that caused parts of the Transfagarasan Road to be closed, however I think the company handled it very professionally. They gave us the option to do the tour on another day or postpone the trip by about 4 hours so that we can still see the road and do the tour. You're guaranteed to see the bears as the guided tours for visitors are scheduled to coincide with the bear's feeding time, when they come out of the deep forest for the food that is thrown over the fence for them.
